Grilled Halibut with Mango Salsa

The mild taste of halibut goes with almost anything.  The spicy, sweet and creamy flavors in this salsa are the perfect match.   If possible, make the salsa a couple of hours to a day in advance to give the flavors a chance to mix.

For the grill:
2 halibut steaks
olive oil
sea salt
For the salsa:
1 large mango, peeled and cubed (about 1 cup of flesh)
1 large tomato, seeded and chopped (about 1 cup of flesh)
1 avocado, peeled, seeded and diced
1/2 cup washed cilantro leaves
1/4 c red onion
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp hot pepper (such as jalapeno), chopped (optional)
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Place ingredients for salsa in medium size bowl and mix gently.  Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.  Brush steaks well with oil (to prevent sticking) and sprinkle with salt.  Grill over medium high heat for about 10 minutes, flipping the steaks over half way through.  They are done when the meat flakes easily with a fork.  Top with desired amount of salsa and serve.  Serves 2 Source:  www.foodsensitivityjournal.com
